On April 6, Hong Kong Red Cross announced that HK$ 30 million to donate Japanese Red Cross for assistance of relief of quake/tsunami and rehabilitation post the disaster. Xinhua News Agency reported on April 7.

Total of HK$80 million have been raised by HK Red Cross since the deadly earthquake occurred in Northeast of Japan. The all of funds will be used to support to Japanese RC relief operation, reconstruction and disaster preparedness, according to HK RC.
