The First Aid Training is a basic approach to improve residents’capabilities on disaster prevention and risk reduction. Shanghai Branch takes the First Aid Training as its traditional key mission in implementation of skills at schools, communities, fire control, tourism and transportation as well as among the target population. The First Aid Training program has been integrated into the city’s key implementation project which was funded by government since 2008. The First Aid Training will be completed within 3 years for the training of over 100,000 facilitators and 1 million residents. The First Aid network based on communities, townships, residential quarters and villages will play an active role for life protection, injury and disable reduction.
