Shanghai Branch has some exchanges and cooperation with its counterparts from I.C.R.C., Germany, Russia, Korea, Japan, Netherlands and the U.S.A, and has established close contact with Hong Kong and Macau Red Cross as well as Tai Wan Red Cross organization. The exchange programs such as the voluntary services and the youth camps are conducted on regular base.

Shanghai Branch also actively involved in the international relief operations which were organized by the national headquarters of Chinese Red Cross.

Shanghai Branch has been restoring the tracing and family reunion service since 1978 which has helped 4,686 families to get reunion.
